How to get through times when you don’t have enough
Hmm. Kat’s entry got me (money coach) thinking about the many times in life when we simply don’t have enough to go ’round. Those are really awful moments, and frustrating, esp when you’ve done everything ‘right’.
A couple grounding points:
1. We’re still standing. Seriously — think of all the times we’ve gone through that were really, really tough and yet!here we still are alive and presumably healthy.
2. Remind ourselves that this too, shall pass. This too, shall pass.
3. Time, time, time. It’s like mending a broken heart. Time and generally staying-the-course is the answer. It took me a full two years from when I started really paying attention to my money, to when things generally felt even-keeled. And it was an additional two or three years before I started to move into ‘thriving’ mode.
and I say two thumbs up with Jack’s comments - sometimes it’s not about 100%, it’s about 25%.
A huge tip of the hat to anyone who reads this who is striving to make the most of what you have, when what you have doesn’t seem like enough. If you have a story of how you’re managing, please fill us in! Just e-mail to: contact at your money by design (all one word) dot com.
